Grand Opening - St. John

Marilyn’s Bakery is opening a second location in St. John, Indiana!

Our Grand Opening will be November 1st, and we’ll have an open house with samples and discounts on toffee, bulk toffee orders, and Thanksgiving orders — plus discounts throughout the store Friday and Saturday.

(Note Hobart location will be closed Nov. 1, just for the day.)

While poor spring weather wiped out the local peach crop, we’ve reached a bit farther and were able to source delicious peaches from the East coast. Like all our seasonal treats, peach cobbler only comes once a year — don’t miss out!

Celebrate Pi Day with us on Thursday 3/14! We’ll be continuing our annual tradition of fun giveaways and pies featuring the pi symbol!

We still bake just like Grandma used to do, from scratch with quality ingredients and no preservatives.

Officially Open for the Season

We officially open for the season on Tuesday, March 5th (8am - 6pm). Join us for our 33rd year! We’ll have our usual selection of scratch-made pies and treats, and of course lunch (11am - 3pm). Our menu changes with the seasons and includes an assortment of sandwiches, flatbread, wraps, and pot pie, with lots of local ingredients.

Sneak Peek + Pies for a Cause

We’ll be open for special pop-up hours this week:

· Friday, March 1st (10am - 6pm)

· Saturday, March 2nd (8am - 4pm)

Come in for paczki, pies, and more! We’ll donate $2 for each pie sold on these dates to Guatemalan school Los Patojos. Barb spent three weeks there this winter, helping the students develop recipes for baked goods to sell — a combination of skills training and school sustainability program. She was blown away by the amazing work this school is doing, and she's organizing region chefs and bakers for a return trip to teach high school students next January.

Pumpkin Season

We’ll start making our scratch-made pumpkin pies and pumpkin cheesecake on October 1st. Both are available through Christmas!
